Volunteer Opportunities

The Baldwin Care Center would like to invite you into our family of volunteers. We offer opportunities for all ages, groups or individuals who share the love of serving the senior population. Our goal is to secure individuals who:

• Have a genuine interest in people
• Bring commitment with open communication
• Treat people with dignity and compassion
• Be a good listener
• Establish trusting relationships

Baldwin Care Center offers opportunities for you to share with our residents your gifts and talents in a variety of areas:

• Friendship through reading, conversation and writing letters
• Sharing your musical talent, gardening, hobbies and special collections
• Volunteer with projects in the maintenance and grounds departments of the building

Group volunteering has been a way that our residents have enjoyed everything from music at Christmas to gardening in the summer. We love to be entertained by you, the young to the young at heart. Interested groups have been:

• Church Choirs and youth groups
• 4-H Clubs
• Girl and Boy Scout troop
• School Classes

Activities that use and continue to need volunteers include:

• Bingo
• Travelogues - share your trips and vacation
• Music
• Table games
• Entertainment/Dancing
• Cards
• Visits
• Arts and Crafts
• Outings
• Cook-a-long
• Bible studies
• Behind-the-scenes prep work
• Manicures
• Coffee visits
• Decorating for special holidays
• Discussion/reminisce
